Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need counseling?

If you find that your mental and emotional health are impacting your day-to-day functioning at school, work, home, family, or with friends, then counseling may be something to consider.

How often should I come to counseling?

Clients usually come once a week or every two weeks. The more often you are able to attend sessions, the more likely you are to see results, growth, and healing. A client’s attendance and participation in the counseling process often impacts one’s success in counseling.

How many sessions will I need?

Every person’s situation is different. We will work to achieve your goals together, whether that takes 5 sessions or 2 years of sessions.

How much does counseling cost?

Counseling sessions are $135 per 45 minute session for individuals and $150 per session for couples. Full payment for services is required when the service is rendered. We do not want finances to be a barrier to you receiving care so we do offer a limited number of sliding scale options if you need financial assistance which is based on income. If we are unable to accommodate your needs, we would be glad to provide additional counseling resources.

Do you accept insurance?

We are in-network with Cigna, Aetna, United, and Optum.

With any other insurance carriers, outside of the ones listed above, we can provide you with an monthly superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. If you are planning to use your insurance, we recommend checking with your insurance company to see what your plan covers out-of-network providers. See our Rates & Insurance page for more information.
